Aguila – Founder / Director / Artist/Healer B.S. in social work. Aguila has worked and counseled children and youth for 20 years. He has travelled to various countries. Is a teacher of sustainable farming, permaculture, and sustainable living. Aguila is professional artist and has sold hundreds of original paintings and shown his art in numerous galleries. Aguila has taught childrens art workshops in both the United States and Costa Rica for many years. He has written over 500 songs and written 8 books. Speaks fluent Spanish and English. Partnered with his wife, Zahrah, they lead people through a journey of holistic healing, incorporating physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing techniques to inspire true empowerment and embodiment of health. Aguila is dedicated to living the path of the Most High.

Zahrah Raay Aguila – Founder / Director / Health Counselor Is a professional practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Oriental Bodywork Therapies and has practiced in several clinics in the US, as well as helped create centers of natural healing in Costa Rica. Her studies, experience, and cutting-edge style of natural healing expand far beyond TCM. She incorporates Ayurvedic Healing Therapies, Organ Cleansing, Dietary Therapies, Chakra Healing, Yoga, Acu-Hara, Western, Eastern, and Tropical Plant Cures, Energy Healing, and more. Zahrah has trained with master healers and shamans of various modalities and was raised in a family of healers, learning the craft of making natural medicines at a young age. She has an innate talent for accessing her intuitive abilities to see deeper into the root causes of illness and imbalance of health. She works on a very holistic level, addressing body, mind, emotions, and spirit; using various methods and modalities to help empower each person with the ability to access true healing. She has guided hundreds of people in cleansing and natural healing. Speaks Spanish and English. About Us
The teaching philosophy at Awakening Soul is that we are all students. Staff members enjoy daily opportunities to learn from interns and children, as well as to share in the teaching process. At Awakening Soul, everyone is an intern and the lines between “student” and “teacher” are in many areas, purposely indistinct.
