“About 2 years ago, I came down with an undiagnosed illness, which quickly spiraled out of control until after a couple of months it seemed that every system in my body was failing. I had severe digestive problems, debilitating chronic fatigue, near blackouts, and overwhelming anxiety, to name a few symptoms. At my worst, I ended up living at my parents house, totally debilitated and bedridden, suffering immensely and totally consumed by fear. After several months I was ready to die, but some spark of hope within me told me to push on, and slowly, over time, I began to improve. Constant prayer and faith from someplace beyond me kept me going through long months of a life I considered to be hell. Although I improved and was able to move back to California, I was never able to move past certain barriers and kept falling back into old patterns of dis-ease, despair, and anxiety. Also, I struggled with addiction to anxiety pills. I felt very drawn to The Revolution Project (Awakening Soul), and in my heart I knew that this would be my salvation. Getting well enough to make the move to Costa Rica was my goal and it drove me to take care of myself. Getting here was difficult, as I was riddled with anxiety, sleeplessness, and other physical symptoms. I arrived here, sick, confused, and desperate. About a month ago still desperate, addicted, and afraid, I surrendered to God, and began to fully accept the Love that surrounds me. Since then, I am continually experiencing what I can only call a miracle. My physical, mental, and spiritual health have improved drastically and continue to each day. I feel more each day like a fully healthy, strong, loving, and vibrant woman. I experience peace as I never thought was possible. I know now the truth – that I am healthy, whole, and perfect, and have always been. All the disease was lies that I believed- made manifest. About Us
The teaching philosophy at Awakening Soul is that we are all students. Staff members enjoy daily opportunities to learn from interns and children, as well as to share in the teaching process. At Awakening Soul, everyone is an intern and the lines between “student” and “teacher” are in many areas, purposely indistinct.
